どこかすてきなとこにつづくのだと

“When you’re a little kid you’re a bit of everything; Scientist, Philosopher, Artist. Sometimes it seems like growing up is giving these things up one at a time.” - Kevin Arnold/The Wonder Years
It’s my goal to make it so you don’t have to give those things up if you don’t want to. I always want you to have that charm… that Scarlet-y sparkle that instantly ignites smiles on the faces of strangers while we’re in public. It’s a hard idea for me to grasp that you’ll even grow up at all. I hope that when you’re 30 and I’m 50 you still want to hang out with me and you won’t hold back in conversations. I hope that when you’re 16 and I’m 36 you won’t get mad when I’m not the cool mom who buys you and your friends Natty Light before the Junior prom. I hope we can always respect each other. I hope you realize that the world is yours, because it is. It’s all yours, Scarfish, if you’ll have it. I’m not saying this as your mom, or your biggest fan. I’m just saying it as somebody who has met you. Everybody who has met you knows it. You’re special, and not in that bullshit Barney way either. You’re special in a way that’s relevant and real and is going to take you places. So go. Just don’t lose yourself along the way, because there isn’t a single part of you that deserves to be lost.
TRUTH.
